Quality Assurance Tech
This position is an hourly exempt position. This Job requires working in all areas of the facility, including and not limited to storage warehouse, freezers and grounds. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for communicating and documenting Food Quality parameters, enforcement of company Food Safety Policies and procedures, and to assist in all areas related to Food Quality, Food Safety, and Food Quality Control.

Primary Responsibilities
-
Monitoring QC/QA parameters in food production and ingredients

HACCP monitoring
-
Sanitation monitoring
-
Good Manufacturing Practices monitoring
-
Assists in managing HOLD and RELEASE program for the facility
-
Preoperational inspections prior to start of production
-
Verifies calibration of measuring equipment as required
-
Assist during Plant audits
-
Writing summary reports
-
Assist in training employees
-
Communicate with clients, vendors and suppliers of El Pinto Foods
-
Ongoing monitoring of Good Manufacturing Practices

Collecting and submitting lab samples
-
Inspection, testing and approval of raw ingredients
-
Must report all Food Safety issues to Food Safety Manager or backup
-
Other responsibilities as assigned by Food Safety Manager
Job Requirements

Must observe and enforce all company QC/QA policies, Good Manufacturing Practices and related activities

Technical knowledge to understand Food Quality and Food Safety

Attendance to all mandatory meetings/trainings provided by the company

Ability to stand for long periods of time (8+ hours). Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Sufficient physical reflexes and personal mobility including but not limited to:

Bending / Twisting / Squatting / Lifting
