El Pinto was established in 1962. Our restaurant is located in Albuquerque's beautiful North Valley. For nearly 50 years, El Pinto has been serving traditional New Mexican recipes from our grandmother Josephina Chavez-Griggs. We are still the place for friends and families to gather, eat, and enjoy the enchantment that New Mexico has to offer. Come see why we're Albuquerque's favorite New Mexican restaurant!
Please come sit on one of our beautiful patios or in one of our comfortable dining rooms, eat some of our award-winning food and sip a margarita, or simply order our New Mexican salsa which is the flavor of New Mexico.

Red Chile Sauce is a perfect marinade base. In part two of this video, El Pinto Executive Chef prepares a sea food marinade using Red Chile Sauce, an Italian vinaigrette, and fresh lime. This is a quick and tasty summer meal for the grill that will impress your friends. Wrap your shrimp in green chile for extra spice. Enjoy El Pinto Red Chile (Enchilada) Sauce for a gluten free meal tonight. It is available at thousands of stores nationwide, but if it is not in yours, order online direct from El Pinto.
Oh my goodness! What a great celebration and a wonderful success story on this restaurant. I do not believe that there are a whole lot of people who realize that this is a real restaurant. I am so happy for your success and I am hoping there are many more great years to come. The salsa is amazing and if I am ever there I am stopping in to eat.
