Overall Responsibility

The Front End Operations Specialist for El Pinto is responsible for overall office administration and excellent customer service. This individual should be able to juggle multiple tasks, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining sufficient organization and keeping a professional and positive demeanor in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Educational Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Computer literate and technology savvy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs including but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to create and implement process improvements
  • Capacity to multi-task, prioritize and handle fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business preferred
  • 3 to 5 years previous experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
  • Sufficient physical reflexes and personal mobility. This includes bending, squatting, twisting and stair climbing repeatedly throughout the day. In addition, employee must have the ability to spend several hours sitting and using office equipment.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide outstanding customer service, handling inbound calls, customer complaints and phone orders.
  • Process salsa and chile orders from retailers (including Amazon, Walmart, Grocery stores), distributors, company website, and from the Restaurant. This includes arranging shipping, processing payments and tracking all orders by recording in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Assist with co-packing shipments and maintaining records.
  • Assist with Inventory tracking by participating in monthly inventory count and updating spreadsheet.
  • Handle overall office administration including, but not limited to, shipping, arranging travel, maintaining spreadsheets, printing labels, coordinating conference calls, acting as recording secretary for company meetings, ordering office supplies, sending samples, and cleaning office. Provide assistance as requested from owners and office staff.
  • Assist Sales and Marketing Team as needed.

Requirements:

  • One year experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
  • Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive.
  • Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills.

  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.

Overall Responsibility

As a production worker in the company, you are responsible for the manufacturing of products, beginning with raw materials and resulting in finished goods. While performing your duties, you must meet food safety requirements, adhere to governmental and local laws, while following company policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Ability to efficiently and safely disassemble and assemble factory equipment for proper cleaning and sanitizing.

  2. Become knowledgeable of sanitation chemicals and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  3. Understand current health and safety regulations regarding sanitation products utilized.

  4. Maintain accurate documentation of cleanup process and chemical usage.

  5. Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment inside / outside production facilities.

  6. Adherence to GMP’s, Food Safety and Food Security processes.

  7. Ability to effectively lead sanitation workers

  8. Must report food safety issues to Food Safety Manager or Back up

Job Requirements

  1. 3-5 years of sanitation experience within a food manufacturing environment

  2. Strong communication skills

  3. General computer and technical skills

  4. Knowledge or understanding of HACCP/SQF preferred

  5. Control inventory and order all cleaning supplies

  6. Dependable, with a flexible schedule to work some weekends and rotating shifts

  7. Ability to stand for long periods of time (8+ hours)

  8. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

  9. Attendance to all mandatory meetings/trainings provided by the company.

  10. Sufficient physical reflexes and personal mobility including but not limited to:

  • Perform duties including but not limited to:
    • collecting raw materials for processing, measuring and packaging
    • palletizing finished goods
    • sanitation including scrubbing, cleaning & sanitizing equipment at shut down
    • inspecting finished product as well as raw materials as they come through the line
    • checking the quality of product during production and documenting results at predetermined times in the production process
  • Safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery (i.e. forklift, scissor lift, pallet jacks)
  • Adherence to GMP’s, Food Safety and Food Security processes
  • Perform preventative maintenance on heavy machinery through daily checks
  • Maintain a clean and well organized work environment inside and outside production facilities.
  • Report all food safety issues to Food Safety Administrator or other supervisor
